Rob Watson

Rob is a Screen International Star Of Tomorrow, and was awarded a BFI Vision Award to develop exciting new British filmmaking talent. He received a nomination for Breakthrough Producer at the 2021 BIFAs.

He recently produced the Netflix original movie THE STRAYS, which was released in February 2023 and was seen by nearly 32m viewers in its first week. The Strays is the debut feature by playwright and actor Nathaniel Martello-White, and was made with The Bureau.

He produced Corinna Faith’s debut feature film THE POWER alongside Stigma Films, Altitude and the BFI Film Fund; which premiered to critical acclaim on Shudder in April 2021 and was shortlisted for Best Debut at the BAFTAs.

He is producing BIFA-winning director Rob Savage's horror feature adaptation of his short Dawn Of The Deaf with Sixty Six Pictures (Lady Macbeth) and Eric Heisserer’s Chronology Entertainment, and a television adaptation of Catriona Ward’s award-winning novel RAWBLOOD with Fremantle and Natalie Dormer’s Dog Rose Productions. With Savage, Rob co-created and produced a television format pilot LIVING IN FEAR for Sky/ Eleven Film, and produced a Sky TV pilot, Martello-White’s MUNCH, with Big Talk.

He has produced numerous shorts - including Nathaniel Martello White's CLA’AM - winner of Best Short at Raindance 2017, and Dan Sully's THE ELLINGTON KID, which has been seen by over one million people at Vice.com. He has co-produced UK shoots with filmmakers including Michael Haneke, Olivier Assayas, Luca Guadagnino, and Adam Leon, and was the associate producer of Bola Agbaje and Destiny Ekaragha’s BFI-funded feature GONE TOO FAR!.
